My kid doesn't want to practice!

Updated: Sep 24

You bought a piano and your kid doesn't want to practice?

My Kid Doesn't Want To Practice Piano - Singapore

An easy and proven method by many of our Melodious parents. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗥𝗬 𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬!

For a start,

1. Make it Obvious

Help your child to setup a timetable.

E.g. Play piano at 8pm

2. Make it Easy

Are you thinking to get your kid to practice half an hour or one hour for a start?

Please DON'T!

This will add a lot of burden for a young kid or sadly to say it might kill her/his interest.

Set something easy to achieve.

E.g. ask the kid to choose their his/her songs and play two times each.

3. Make it Satisfying

How to make this habit continuously and more likely to repeat?

Immediate reward, reward, reward!

𝟮𝟭 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 is the time frame needed to help your child to start a new habit – practice piano.

PERSISTENT, CONSISTENT and COMMITTED!
